5 killed, 15 injured as bus hits truck in Sirajganj

Three of the deceased had been recognized as Md Fazlur Rahman (70), a freedom fighter of Shahjahanpur upazila, and Bimal Kumar Das (45) of Sherpur upazila of Bogura; and Abdul Hannan (55) of Belkuchi upazila in Sirajganj.

Md Nurul Islam, officer accountable for Bangabandhu Bridge West Zone Police Station, stated a Dhaka-bound passenger bus of Jugantor Paribahan from Bogura collided with a Sirajganj-bound oil-laden truck round 8:00am.

“Each the autos had been dashing. After the entrance wheel of the passenger bus obtained punctured, the driving force misplaced management on the wheels and the bus hit the truck,” the OC stated.

Driver of the truck and 4 passengers of the bus died on the spot whereas a minimum of 15 individuals had been injured within the accident.

On info, police and hearth fighters rushed to the spot and rescued the injured, who had been admitted to Sirajganj Common Hospital.
